Stay Alive .... Just Drive!, Inc. (SAJD) is a nationally recognized 501(c)3 traffic crash prevention, awareness, and education program aimed at curbing distracted driving and promoting safe driving. Today, most people consider unsafe driving as a major personal threat to themselves and others. Our goal is to make our roads safer for all users by reaching every motorist, at least once a day with our message. WHEN YOU DRIVE DISTRACTED ... WE'RE ALL IMPACTED!

Traffic safety professional Jay Anderson, is the executive director of STAY ALIVE …. JUST DRIVE! ™

A U.S. Army veteran and retired Lee County, FL, EMS Captain, he serves as an elected Fire Commissioner with the South Trail Fire District, chair of the 2012 Florida Strategic Highway Safety Plan distracted driving team, vice-chair of the Lee County Community Traffic Safety Team (CTST), sits on the Board of Directors for the Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition (IPC) and the Sheriff’s Youth Activities League (SYAL). He is also a member of the:

  • Florida Injury Prevention Advisory Council (FLIPAC), Distracted Driving Subcommittee.
  • American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association (ADTSEA).
  • American Trauma Society (ATS).
  • Traffic Incident Management Team (TIM).
  • Traffic Management Operations Committee (TMOC) vice-chair.
  • Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS).
  • Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020.

Recognized by U.S DOT Secretary Ray LaHood and former Florida Governor Charlie Crist, Jay writes articles on traffic safety and distracted driving for numerous publications’ is a certified Car Fit Event Coordinator and an instructor for the Lee Memorial Health System Trauma Services Young Drivers Program and the court ordered High Risk Drivers Course.
